
Working the Drains
So all the contractors have been working their quotes and sending them in, as we anticipated we have needed to make drastic changes to the studio designs to make the project work. Firstly, the water drains have been diverted out of the premises, which is good news as it means the risk of flooding has been practically eliminated (or significantly reduced). The builders have taken care not to protrude from the ceiling too which is good news, as it won't affect our studio build.

Revising the Designs
An architect, electrician, and a plumber walk in to a bar... No they didn't, actually they came down to the unit to consult our plans for the new recording studio. The first obstacles are afoot and there are some pretty radical changes needed to tackle them. Last week we signed the lease, now this week we're mobilising the contractors. This is a new venture for us both and we are under no illusions about the challenges ahead. First up was the architect and he's already enlightened us to some issues about our plans. But we're unfazed and determined to continue.
